2005 NPS Environmental Achievement Award recognizes two concessioners for environmental programs
Two concessioners operating in the Intermountain Region have been recognized for their environmental programs through the 2005 NPS Environmental Achievement Award. The annual NPS Environmental Achievement Awards are coordinated and reviewed by the Washington Office, Park Facility Management Division and an Awards Committee.

The nomination submitted by Yellowstone National Park and Xanterra Parks & Resorts, has been selected as a Winner of the 2005 National Park Service (NPS) Environmental Achievement Award, Team category. The NPS Environmental Achievement Award Team category provides a mechanism for recognizing parks and their partners – such as concessioners – that have demonstrated a commitment to environmental management and stewardship during the previous fiscal year. The nomination submitted by Big Bend National Park for the concessioner, Forever Resorts, has been recognized as a 2005 Honorable Mention for the National Park Service (NPS) Environmental Achievement Award, Partner category. The NPS Environmental Achievement Award Partner category provides a mechanism for recognizing concessioner environmental programs and highlighting those concessioners that have demonstrated a commitment to environmental management and stewardship during the previous fiscal year.
