Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Solicitation for Concession contract to provide Visitor Convenience Items and Vending

The National Park Service (NPS) issued a prospectus for solicitation of offers for a 10 year concession contract to provide Visitor Convenience Items and Vending at Cades Cove, Oconaluftee, and Sugarlands Visitor Centers and the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Cades Cove Visitor Center and the Great Smoky Mountains Institute are near Townsend, Tennessee.  The Sugarlands Visitor Center is near Gatlinburg, Tennessee and the Oconaluftee Visitor Center is near Cherokee, North Carolina.  Gross revenues over the past five years for the existing concessioner have been from $205,347- $240,030 annually.

The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR 51 has determined that this is a qualified contract with regard to preference for a Preferred Offeror, and that the existing concessioner, Great Smoky Mountains Association, is a Preferred Offeror for this contract.  Any offer, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the NPS at the address listed in the prospectus no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 18, 2009 in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract.

Fort McHenry

Solicitation for Concession contract to provide a gift shop at Fort McHenry.

The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a prospectus soliciting proposals for a 10-year concession contract to provide merchandise sales and limited food and beverage service at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine.  The sale of boxed lunches is authorized but not required at the Hampton National Historic Site. The prospectus will explain the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the contract.  The NPS Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, determined that the existing concessioner is not a preferred offeror for the contract. 

The NPS issued the prospectus on June 24, 2009 under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on August 24, 2009.  Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the National Park Service, Northeast Region, Business Services, Attention:  Kathleen Karhnak, 200 Chestnut Street, 3rd Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106 by the deadline date in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the contract.

National Capital Parks-East

Solicitation for Concession contract for Slip Rentals, Fuel Service, and Parking Service at James Creek Marina.

The National Park Service (NPS) has issued a prospectus soliciting proposals for a ten year contract for marina services within National Capital Parks-East on May 26, 2009. The prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51 has determined that the existing concessioner, Guest Services, Inc., is not a preferred offeror for this contract.

Any offer, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Business Services Program Manager, NPS, National Capital Region Office of Business Services Room 236 1100 Ohio Drive, S.W. Washington, DC 20242 no later than one hundred twenty two days (122) after the release of the prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide these services within National Capital Parks-East. The prospectus will be issued on May 26, 2009, for a 122-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due at the National Capital Region Office of Business Services Room 236 1100 Ohio Drive, S.W. Washington, DC 20242 by September 25, 2009 no later than 4:00 p.m.

Yellowstone National Park

Solicitation for Concession contract for providing medical services within Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

The National Park Service has issued a Prospectus soliciting proposals for providing medical services within Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the existing concessions contract. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is not a preferred offeror for the contract.

The National Park Service issued the Prospectus on April 21, 2009, under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposal due no later than 4:00 p.m. MST on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Any proposal, including those of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Chief of Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 by the deadline date in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the concession contract
