Denali National Park Pre-solicitation Site Visit
The National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a Prospectus for a concession contract within the next 120 days soliciting proposals to operate Bus Tours, Transit, Courtesy Shuttle, Retail, Food & Beverage, Camping and Other Services within Denali National Park and Preserve. The NPS intends to release the prospectus in October 2014.
The NPS will hold a two-day site visit beginning at 1:00 pm on Wednesday September 3, 2014, and ending at 5:00 pm on Thursday September 4, 2014. The NPS will hold this site visit before issuing the prospectus because the seasonal services described in the Prospectus will not be in operation when the NPS releases the prospectus later in 2014. The site visit will allow all interested parties to tour Concession Facilities and observe the required bus services while operating. Each interested entity may bring a maximum of four (4) attendees. The NPS does not intend to host an additional site visit associated with this business opportunity, as the operation closes during the winter season and the proposal period for the prospectus will close before the services resume.
Parties interested in attending the pre-solicitation site visit on September 3rd and 4th must RSVP to Jim LeBel via email at jim_leBel@nps.gov by 4:00 PM (Alaska Time) Friday, August 15, 2014. The site visit will start at the Denali National Park and Preserve Murie Dining Hall, adjacent to the Murie Science and Learning Center. NPS will provide additional information for the site visit to those who respond timely. Please include in your email the names of those who will attend.
If you would like to receive information about the business opportunity but not attend the site visit, please contact Jim LeBel to be placed on a contact list. NPS will provide information to you both before and after the site visit.
