Sequoia National Park Pre-solicitation Site Visit
The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus soliciting for proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail service, and other related services at Lodgepole Village, Wuksachi Village, and Bearpaw High Sierra Camp within Sequoia National Park.
In order to provide interested parties enough time to make necessary arrangements, the NPS is providing advance notice of a one-day site visit scheduled for October 9, 2014. This site visit is an opportunity for all interested parties to tour the concession facilities, including back of the house operations. Attendance is not required in order to submit a proposal, however attendance is encouraged as this will be the only site visit provided by the NPS.
The one-day site visit will not include a tour of Bearpaw High Sierra Camp, as Bearpaw will be closed at that time. Parties interested in touring Bearpaw High Sierra Camp are encouraged to make arrangements to visit prior to the end of the operating season, anticipated to end no later than September 20, 2014 (weather dependent).
All interested parties planning to attend the scheduled site visit must send an email message to Christopher Fryday, Commercial Services Financial Analyst no later than 5:00 p.m. (PT) October 3, 2014 to reserve a spot. At that time you will receive further instructions regarding the site visit. The email must provide the following information: name of company or organization, a list of all attendees (full name), name of the primary contact, including mailing address and phone number.
Site visit attendees are responsible for their own lodging, meals, and incidentals, and are advised to make lodging reservations well in advance of the site visit dates. If you have additional questions regarding the site visit, please contact Christopher Fryday at (415) 623-2226 or via email.
